(CimBaby or Banin) x Arfak,  2008/2009 Arfak Outcross Clutch

Our blue line male (EA06013vi) produced by Eddie Aste is being paired with the spectacular Arfak female on loan from Ryan Burke.  We are hoping to develop the black diamond phenotype and of course the blue.

• Update:  Copulation observed on October 10, 2008
• 1-4-09 The male seemed rather lack-luster so I introduced Banin.  Copulation was observed almost immediately.  

  

   Banin
• Female shed 2-8-2009, no pronounced ovulation was observed, only minor swelling.  A nest box will be provided soon.
• 24 beautiful eggs and 1 partially calcified were laid on February 26, 2009, 392g clutch weight, 16g average egg weight.

• Eggs began to hatch on April 19, 2009.  52 days of incubation.  ALL RED!
  

• The neonates are ALL RED, with several spectacular animals already evident.
• A few of the animals resemble this one, from last year's clutch with Banin.  Overall however, the neonates are totally different than last year's clutch leading me to believe that Cimbaby is the sire. 
• 23 beautiful neonates ended up hatching.
